Broccoli Beef Stir-Fry | Gluten-Free, Dairy Free

Ingredients
- 1 lb (454g) flat iron steak or top blade filet, thinly cut against the grain
- 1 tbsp (15ml) arrowroot starch
- 1 tbsp (15ml) coconut aminos (or gluten-free tamari)
- 1 tbsp (15ml) worcestershire sauce (omit for AIP)
- 1 tbsp (15ml) apple cider vinegar or rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp (15ml) toasted sesame oil (use avocado oil for AIP)
- 1 tbsp (15ml) coconut sugar (use monkfruit sweetener for keto)
- 1 tbsp (15ml) avocado oil
- 1 head broccoli, cut into bite-sized florets
- 1/4 tsp (1ml) sea salt
- 2 tbsp (30ml) water
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the beef with arrowroot starch, coconut aminos, worcestershire sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar. Mix well and let it marinate in the fridge for 1-3 hours.
- Heat a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Once hot, add in the avocado oil and in batches, sear the beef on either side for 1 minute, then transfer onto a plate. The beef will finish cooking at the end with the broccoli.
- Add in the broccoli and salt. Stir in the water and cover the skillet with a lid. Let the broccoli steam for 3 minutes. Then add the beef back into the skilet and continue stir-frying until the beef is just cooked through and the broccoli is fork-tender, making sure not to overcook the beef. Serve immediately with cauliflower rice or noodles
