Creamy Broccoli Pasta Sauce | Gluten-Free

Ingredients
- 2 heads broccoli, florets and stems cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup (60ml) milk of your choice
- 2 scoops (26g) Healthy Bones Co. Collagen Peptides
- 2 tbsp (30ml) extra virgin olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp (1 ml) sea salt
- pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup (125ml) grated parmesan cheese made from raw cow’s milk (or pecorino cheese made from raw sheep’s milk or nutritional yeast)
Directions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add in the broccoli and boil for 5 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer cooked broccoli into a blender along with the milk of your choice and collagen. Blend until smooth, adding more milk if needed.
- Meanwhile, heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Once hot, add in the olive oil, garlic, salt and red pepper flakes if using. Cook the garlic for 2 minutes or until just fragrant.
- Pour the broccoli sauce over the olive oil mixture. Add in the cheese and stir to combine. Toss in your favourite pasta or cauliflower gnocchi and enjoy with a side of protein.
