Delicious Seasoned Okra | Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free | BoneCoach™ Recipes

SERVES: 2

TOTAL TIME: 10 minutes

Ingredients

8oz (227g) okra, small or medium size, tips trimmed

1/2 tsp (2ml) sea salt

2 tsp (10ml) coconut aminos (or gluten-free tamari)

1 tsp (5ml) toasted sesame oil (or fresh-pressed extra virgin olive oil)

pinch ground white pepper (optional)

Directions

1) Bring a large pot of water to boil. Once boiled, salt water and add okra. Blanch for 2 minutes. Using tongs, transfer to bowl of ice water and cool. Drain and place into a mixing bowl.

2) Slice each okra in half on a diagonal.

3) Toss the okra with coconut aminos, sesame oil and pepper. Serve at room temperature or chilled as a side dish. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds for an added crunch!
