Maple Bacon Brussels | Gluten-Free, Dairy Free

Ingredients
- 128g (4.5oz) pasture-raised bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- 1 lb (454g) Brussels sprouts, ends trimmed and halved
- 3 tbsp (45ml) water
- 1 1/2 tbsp (22ml) maple syrup
Directions
- Heat an iron skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add in bacon. Cook for 5-8 minutes stirring often, until golden-brown. Transfer the bacon onto a paper towel-lined plate.
- Add the Brussels sprouts into the skillet, cut-side down and sear for 3-4 minutes until golden-brown. Toss the Brussels sprouts and add in the water. Cook until the water has evaporated, then add in the maple syrup and cook for 2 minutes before adding back the bacon into the skillet.
- Toss everything together and cook for another 2 minutes before serving.
