Vibrant Kale Sauce | Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free | BoneCoach™ Recipes

SERVES: 4

COOKING TIME: 10 minutes

Ingredients

1/2 bunch curly green kale, stems removed

1/4 cup (60ml) nutritional yeast (or can use grated parmesan cheese)

1/4 cup (60ml) hulled hemp seeds

2 tbsp (30ml) lemon juice

1/3 cup (80ml) filtered water

1 small garlic clove

1/2 tsp (2ml) sea salt

pinch black pepper (optional)

Directions

1) Bring a large pot of water to boil. Once boiled, add kale. Blanch for 2 minutes. Remove using tongs, shake excess water, and place directly in the blender.

2) Add nutritional yeast, hemp seeds, lemon juice, garlic and water. Blend on high for 45-60 seconds, until perfectly smooth. Season with salt and pepper and add in more nutritional yeast or lemon if desired.

3) Serve this vibrant kale sauce over zucchini noodles, cucumber noodles, lentil pasta, Konjac noodles or grain-free cassava pasta.
